Waddie's Apple Pie
Storing fruit is easy after it has been dried. Pioneers would dry apples and have
them all year long. Try something new and bake a pie with dried apples, but
remember you have to start a day early and soak the apples.


Ingredients:
- 2 cups dried apples
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 pie crusts 8 inches, unbaked
- 3 tablespoons butter

Directions:
• Preheat oven 350 degrees.
• Soak the apples in water overnight.
• Drain off water, mix apples with sugar and spices.
• Add apple mixture to crust.
• Dot with butter and cover with second crust, make slashes in top to ventilate.
• Bake 1 hour, until top is golden brown.
